Thomas and Theresa Henkelmann of Thomas Henkelmann and Homestead Inn in Greenwich, CT, were in the process of giving the Inn
a fresh new look guided under the auspices of Theresa's design expertise. The bold and colorful cement tiles of
French artist Denis Colomb
were chosen for the renovation of the 7 bathrooms in the main house. Denis referred me to the Henkelmann's as the one to do the
installations after he saw my work in Laurie Frank's home.
Below are the shower stall and bathroom floor of one of the bathrooms (#1a, 1b) and the sink area of a second(#2).
The countertop in #2 is covered with 1/4"x1/4" black tiles, which due to a bit of amateur photography, cannot be seen here. However,
additional photos of my work can be seen in this slide show at the
Thomas Henkelmann and Homestead Inn
website. Here you will also view the results of a renovation in which every sumptuous
detail embraces the soul purpose of coddling and pampering each of its honored guests.
